To begin, Sugrue South Downs’ 2020 The Trouble with Dreams brings the purity, finesse and chalk-grown freshness of exceptional English sparkling wine. To finish, Quinta do Vallado’s 20-Year-Old Tawny Port offers dried-fruit richness and a satin-smooth warmth, a lovely companion to the cheeseboard and the quieter pleasures of Christmas.
