2025 Sauvignon Blanc , Te Muna Road Vineyard, Craggy Range

Martinborough, New Zealand

This is Sauvignon Blanc with Martinborough precision and real texture. White blossom, passionfruit, fresh peach and green melon lift from the glass, followed by kaffir lime, preserved lemon, lemongrass and a cool river-stone edge. It has the vibrancy New Zealand Sauvignon is loved for, but the feel is more refined, layered and mineral than the everyday style.

On the palate, it is bright, dry and beautifully focused, with key lime, citrus peel, tropical fruit and saline acidity running through a gently textured finish. The fruit is expressive, but not shouty; the lower terraces of Te Muna bring freshness, stony detail and elegant shape. A brilliant bottle for anyone who wants Sauvignon with snap, polish and proper food appeal.

For when
A crisp white needs extra class.

Pairs with
Oysters, shellfish, grilled prawns, goat’s cheese, fennel and citrus salad, asparagus, sushi, Thai herb salads or lemon roast chicken.

Craggy Range’s Te Muna Road Vineyard sits just outside Martinborough, where cool conditions, strong diurnal shifts and stony river-influenced soils create Sauvignon Blanc with freshness, texture and drive. This is not a simple tropical Sauvignon; it is a more elegant, mineral expression, built from a large number of small parcels and shaped with thoughtful winemaking. The result is vibrant, polished and unmistakably Te Muna.

Craggy Range is one of New Zealand’s most respected family-owned wineries, founded in 1998 by Terry and Mary Peabody with a long-term vision to create estate-grown, single-vineyard wines of real place and permanence. Based beneath Te Mata Peak in Hawke’s Bay, the estate also works with its exceptional Te Muna Road Vineyard in Martinborough, a cooler site that has become central to its reputation for elegant Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

The philosophy is clear: match the right variety to the right site, farm carefully, and let each vineyard speak with clarity. That single-vineyard focus has helped Craggy Range become one of the benchmark names in modern New Zealand wine, trusted for bottles that combine immediate pleasure with polish, structure and consistency.

Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect example of that approach. It offers the freshness and aromatic lift people love from New Zealand Sauvignon, but with greater texture, mineral detail and refinement. For customers, it is a smart step up from the ordinary.

The 2025 Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc is 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Craggy Range’s Te Muna Road Vineyard in Martinborough. The fruit comes from the lower terraces of the vineyard, where rocky river stones, gravels, clay and limestone-influenced soils help build intensity, freshness and a saline mineral line.

The 2025 vintage began with a warm, dry spring, encouraging early vine development and higher yields. A cooler, more overcast summer slowed ripening, helping preserve delicate aromatics and bright acidity. The final wine brings together over 50 parcels, giving depth and complexity while keeping a strong sense of Te Muna’s cool-climate character.

Fermentation was predominantly in stainless steel to protect the floral, citrus and stone-fruit characters, with a portion fermented and aged in oak for added complexity. The cellar work included stainless steel tanks, French and Austrian oak, and amphora.
