2025 Sauvignon Blanc Rebel Sip!, Undurraga

Central Valley, Chile

The Citrus Kick

This is Chilean Sauvignon Blanc with brightness, zip and an easy-going rebellious streak. From the Valle Central, it opens with lime, grapefruit, green apple and lemon peel, followed by hints of passionfruit, cut grass and a fresh herbal snap. It is crisp, clean and made for refreshment, with plenty of citrus energy and no unnecessary weight.

The palate is light, dry and mouth-watering, with zesty citrus, green fruit and a clean, bright finish. It is the sort of white that does exactly what you want it to do: chill down beautifully, wake up the palate and disappear happily beside seafood, salads or anything with a little chilli and lime.

For when you want a white wine that is fresh, lively and uncomplicated in the best possible way.
Pairs with prawns, grilled fish, sushi, goat’s cheese, chicken salads, Thai green curry, ceviche, or a salty bowl of crisps before dinner.
If this wine were… a spark, it would be lime zest snapped over ice, bright, green and gone before anyone could overthink it.

Undurraga is one of Chile’s historic producers, founded in 1885 and now working across key vineyard areas including Leyda, Cauquenes and Itata. The estate is certified by Sustainable Wines of Chile and is led by winemaker Rafael Urrejola, whose work exploring Chile’s diverse vineyard sites has helped shape Undurraga’s modern reputation. In 2023, Urrejola became the first Chilean winemaker to win the International Wine Challenge Red Winemaker of the Year.

Founded in 1885, Undurraga owns 1,350 hectares of estate vineyard in Chile’s premium wine-producing areas, such as Leyda, Cauquenes and Itata and is certified by Sustainable Wines of Chile.

Head winemaker Rafael Urrejola has spent a great deal of time researching and understanding the diversity of Chile’s vineyard sites; the result
is the emblematic ‘Terroir Hunter’ range.

Undurraga cultivates its vineyards with respect
for the environment and follow a philosophy of minimal intervention in the cellar to showcase the terroir. In 2023, Rafael became the first Chilean winemaker to be awarded ‘Red Winemaker of the Year 2023' by the prestigious International Wine Challenge (IWC).

Once the grapes were harvested, they were gently crushed and placed into stainless steel
tanks. Fermentation took place with selected yeast in stainless steel vats to retain the purity
of fruit, at temperatures which oscillated between 15 and 16°C, lasting 10 days. The wine was bottled early to retain its vibrant profile and zippy fruit-forward nature.
