2025 Kamptal Terrassen Grüner Veltliner, Weingut Bründlmayer

Langenlois, Kamptal, Austria

Terrace Snap

This is classic Kamptal Grüner with brightness, crunch and real polish. It opens with green apple, grapefruit, meadow herbs and citrus peel, then moves into mango, pineapple, white pepper and a clean mineral edge. There is plenty of freshness, but also a little fruit weight, giving the wine both snap and charm.

The palate is dry, firm and beautifully balanced, with orchard fruit, citrus, passion fruit and gentle spice carried by lively acidity. The terraced vineyard blend gives the wine its shape: stonier higher terraces bring minerality and lift, while lower loess-rich terraces add body and ripeness. The finish is crisp, persistent and wonderfully versatile.

For when you want a white with freshness, food-friendliness and proper Austrian precision.
Pairs with smoked trout, schnitzel, roast chicken, seafood, tapas, asparagus, goat’s cheese, dim sum, or crisp vegetable dishes.

Weingut Bründlmayer is one of Austria’s benchmark estates, based in Langenlois in the Kamptal and widely admired for Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and sparkling wines of precision and elegance. The Kamptal Terrassen Grüner Veltliner is made from a blend of terraced vineyards, designed to capture the region’s classic balance of mineral freshness, fruit clarity and quiet strength

Weingut Bründlmayer is one of Austria’s benchmark estates, based in Langenlois in the Kamptal, around 70 kilometres north-west of Vienna. The family’s winegrowing history reaches back centuries, but its modern reputation has been shaped by a relentless focus on precision, vineyard character and quietly brilliant winemaking. Today, Bründlmayer is widely regarded as one of the defining names for Grüner Veltliner and Riesling in Austria.

The estate’s vineyards sit around Langenlois, where the Kamp Valley’s cool nights, warm days and varied soils help create wines with freshness, tension and aromatic detail. Loess, gneiss, mica-schist and other primary rock soils all play their part, giving Bründlmayer’s best wines their combination of texture, mineral drive and graceful ageing potential. The Erste Lage vineyards, including sites such as Loiserberg, show this precision especially clearly.

What makes Bründlmayer so compelling is the balance between stature and restraint. These are serious wines, but never showy: clean, finely built and deeply expressive of Kamptal. From crisp Grüner Veltliner to long-lived Riesling and acclaimed sparkling wines, Bründlmayer represents Austrian wine at its most polished, precise and quietly world-class.
