2025 Esprit Méditerranée Rosé, Château de Berne

Méditerranée, France

Riviera Light

Pale, bright and made for sunlit afternoons, Esprit Méditerranée is Provence in its most easy-going and irresistible mood. The 2025 opens with nectarine, peach and delicate red berry notes, giving the wine an immediately juicy, inviting feel, while a gentle citrus brightness keeps everything fresh and lifted. The palate is clean, rounded and beautifully balanced, with just enough body to give it shape without ever weighing it down. Refreshing, polished and quietly joyful, this is rosé that knows exactly what it is doing, all Mediterranean ease, pale pink charm and effortless drinkability.

For when: lunch runs late, the glasses stay cold, and no one is rushing anywhere.
Pairs with: grilled prawns, niçoise salad, charcuterie, or simply something salty in the shade.
If this wine were a place: a terrace above the Riviera, all pale stone, sea breeze and the soft hum of summer.

Château de Berne is one of Provence’s best-known estates, combining a polished modern style with a clear Mediterranean identity. Esprit Méditerranée sits on the fresher, more playful side of the range, designed to capture the bright fruit, pale colour and easy elegance that make southern French rosé so appealing. In this 2025 release, that balance of fruit, freshness and lightness comes through beautifully.

The grapes were harvested during the cool of the night, carefully sorted and cooled further to around 10°C for optimal maceration. Some of the juices were macerated on the skins for an enhanced aromatic profile. Fermentation took place at 14°C and 16°C to retain the fruity characteristics. Ageing on fine lees in stainless steel vats before bottling in the late winter preserved the wine’s distinctive freshness.
