2024 Greco Di Tufo DOCG, Feudi di San Gregorio
Greco di Tufo, Campania, Italy
Feudi di San Gregorio’s 2024 Greco di Tufo is a Campanian white wine with bite, brightness and a proper mineral snap. It opens with pear, green apple, lemon peel and white peach, with citrus blossom, toasted hazelnut and a cool herbal lift giving it more intrigue than your average crisp Italian white.
On the palate, it is dry, fresh and energetic, with Greco’s natural breadth pulled tight by acidity and stony, saline minerality. There is fruit, certainly, but the real pleasure is in the tension: citrus, orchard fruit, almond, salt and that clean volcanic edge that makes Tufo such a brilliant home for the grape.
For when
The aperitivo needs something sharper, smarter and far more interesting than the usual white.
Pairs with
Bufala mozzarella, grilled prawns, seafood linguine, raw fish, roast chicken, courgette fritti, lemony salads or spaghetti alle vongole.
If this wine were…
A cool stone step in the Campanian sun, with a sea breeze just out of sight.
Feudi di San Gregorio is one of Campania’s defining modern estates, based in Sorbo Serpico and central to the revival of Irpinia’s great native grapes. Its Greco di Tufo captures the region’s appeal with real clarity: ancient volcanic and tuff soils, mountain freshness, southern light and a grape variety capable of both power and precision. This is a benchmark example of one of Italy’s most characterful dry whites.
