Based in the remote Douro Superior, Conceito farms high-altitude vineyards on a mix of granite and schist soils, many of which are centuries old and organically managed. The 2021 Vintage Port from Conceito is a masterfully structured, single-year expression crafted from a blend of traditional Douro grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz, sourced from some of the estate’s oldest and highest vineyards. The cool 2021 vintage produced wines of extraordinary aromatic lift, freshness, and poise, making this an exceptional and collectable Port with long-term ageing potential.

In the glass, it offers a deep inky purple hue, with a captivating nose of blackberry compote, cassis, and plum, layered with nuances of violet, crushed rock, dark chocolate, and exotic spice. The palate is rich and dense, yet impeccably balanced, showcasing satin-textured tannins, vibrant acidity, and a core of pure dark fruit. The finish is long, resonant, and tightly wound, promising decades of evolution.  While it will age beautifully for 30+ years, it already hints at greatness in its youth.
