The 2021 LBV from Invincible is everything you want from a young, vibrant Port, dark, juicy, structured and lavish without ever tipping into heaviness. It opens with deep aromas of black cherry, cassis and plum compote, lifted by notes of violet, dark chocolate, cracked pepper and warm Douro schist. On the palate it’s plush and powerful: inky black fruits wrapped in silky tannins, a ripple of spice and cocoa, and a freshness that keeps the richness bright rather than brooding. Long, velvety and deliciously intense, it finishes with a lingering echo of blueberry, liquorice and warm spice.
