The 2019 Stevens Road opens with a flash of energy, grapefruit zest, lemon curd and white peach, edged with a subtle hint of butterscotch and toasted almond that adds warmth without weight. The aromatics feel pristine and tightly coiled, poised rather than showy.

On the palate, it is electric. A surge of citrus and stone fruit drives through the centre, balanced by fine oak polish and a mineral spine that keeps everything razor clean. There is texture here, a gentle creaminess from careful élevage, yet the overriding impression is lift and clarity. The acidity carries the wine long and true, stretching the finish into something crisp, saline and quietly thrilling. Powerful but precise, this is Chardonnay that moves with confidence and control.
