2019 Bandol Rouge, Domaine de Terrebrune

The 2019 Domaine de Terrebrune Bandol Rouge is a distinguished expression of Provence’s Bandol appellation, crafted by the Delille family, who have been stewards of this estate since 1963. Situated in Ollioules, just east of Bandol, the estate benefits from a unique terroir overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, where the combination of sea breezes and Triassic era soils imparts a distinctive character to the wines. Under the guidance of Reynald Delille, the estate has embraced organic farming practices, emphasising a philosophy of “Philosophy, Rigour, and Respect” in their winemaking approach.

In its youth, the 2019 Bandol Rouge exhibits a deep, opulent bouquet dominated by black fruits and liquorice, complemented by notes of spices and garrigue. On the palate, it presents a powerful yet harmonious profile, with chewy tannins providing structure to the ripe fruit flavours.The wine’s complexity and balance suggest significant ageing potential, with a recommended drinking window extending through 2034.
