Deep garnet in colour, this 2011 Potensac opens with refined aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cedar and dried herbs, followed by graphite and a hint of cigar box. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied and beautifully balanced with dark berry fruit framed by fine tannins and that signature Médoc freshness. Subtle notes of leather, spice and earth appear with air, leading to a long, savoury finish that hums with quiet authority.

The vineyard, planted predominantly to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, benefits from vines averaging over 40 years of age. These deep-rooted parcels produce wines that bridge Left Bank structure with Right Bank charm -combining firm tannins and freshness with supple, dark fruit and classical balance.

Winemaking follows the meticulous approach of the Delon estates: parcel-by-parcel vinification, gentle extraction, and ageing in French oak (typically 20–30% new). The result is a wine that speaks softly but with conviction, refined, age-worthy, and quietly authoritative. In strong vintages, Potensac regularly outperforms its Cru Bourgeois status, earning a place among Bordeaux’s most reliable and best-value classics.
