2025 Rosé "A.MUSE", Valley of the Muses, Muses Estate

Valley of the Muses, Greece

Summer in Soft Focus

Light, playful and effortlessly pretty, A.MUSE Rosé is the kind of bottle that seems to carry sunshine with it. Delicate red berry fruit drifts through the glass, think strawberry, raspberry and a touch of grenadine, with a gentle floral lift and just enough freshness to keep everything lively. The palate is smooth, bright and easy-going, with a soft, juicy charm that makes it instantly appealing, but there is enough energy underneath to stop it ever feeling simple. Lively, elegant and wonderfully easy to drink, this is rosé made for long afternoons and second bottles.

For when: lunch turns into sunset, and nobody is looking at the clock.
Pairs with: grilled prawns, summer salads, fried fish, or simply a cold bottle and warm weather.
If this wine were a place: a shaded terrace in central Greece, with pink light in the sky and music drifting in the background.

Muses Estate is based in the Valley of the Muses on Mount Helicon in central Greece, a region shaped by mild, wet winters, dry sunny summers and vineyards planted between roughly 450 and 550 metres above sea level on sandy loam to clay loam soils. Across the range, the estate works with a clear sense of place and a style that balances freshness with easy charm, which suits a rosé like A.MUSE beautifully.

His passion for wine and the millennia-old winemaking traditions of his homeland, led Nikolaos Zaharias to create a small winery in 1946 in Askri, in Central Greece, fulfilling his life-long dream. In 1967, his son, Athanasios Zaharias, entered the family business and brought with him dynamic and forward-thinking ideas, and gradually they transformed the small artisanal winery into a modern winery. In 2005, the year when ‘Muses Estate’ was created, it was time for the third generation Nikos, Stelios and Panayiotis, to take their place in the family business. Their skills, scientific knowledge and youthful ideas, combined with the family tradition and experience further enriched Muses Estate. From their vines grown on the slopes of the Valley of the Muses, at the foot of Mount Helicon, they aim to produce wines that are in perfect harmony with the ecosystem, and are representative of the historic terroir, as well as the family itself. They succeed: their exquisite wines are vibrant with mountain freshness that truly evoke the senses.

The grapes underwent cold skin-contact maceration for 10 hours at 8 °C in an oxygen-free environment. Co-fermentation took place of the Sauvignon Blanc and Mouhtaro at steady temperatures of 19°C, followed by maturation for one month. No oak influence to retain the characteristics of the rare Mouhtaro variety.
