2024 Rosé, MAÏA

Côtes de Provence, Provence, France

Riviera Whisper

Pale, polished and full of Mediterranean ease, the 2024 MAÏA Rosé feels every bit the part of a classic Provençal summer bottle, but with just enough extra depth to keep you coming back. Ripe peach, redcurrant and wild strawberry rise first, followed by citrus zest, orange peel and a soft floral lift that gives the wine real brightness and charm. The palate is smooth and dry, with juicy summer berry fruit, a touch of lychee and a clean, grippy finish that adds shape and freshness. There is plenty of sunshine here, but also that lovely Provençal restraint that keeps everything elegant, light on its feet and quietly refined.

For when: lunch turns into late afternoon, and the bottle disappears before anyone notices.
Pairs with: grilled prawns, niçoise salad, soft goat’s cheese, or simply something salty in the shade.
If this wine were a place: a pale stone terrace above the Riviera, with sea air drifting through and the light beginning to soften.

MAÏA Rosé is crafted in Provence and shaped very much in that elegant, coastal style, with freshness, pale colour and a subtle maritime edge all part of its appeal. Current references describe the wine as influenced by vineyards near the Mediterranean and handled gently in the cellar, with cool maceration, light pressing and stainless-steel fermentation helping preserve its bright fruit and clean finish.

Maïa is grown and made at a Cru Classé estate in the hills above the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in the Var, in the heart of Côtes de Provence. The winemaking focuses on classic, pale, bone-dry rosé with precision, made in a modern Provençal style that still respects the region’s benchmarks. Coastal breezes and warm days help keep fruit bright, while careful blending ensures a consistent profile vintage to vintage. Blended by Master of Wine Liam Stevenson, Maïa captures Provence in a bottle: bright, elegant and deliberately dry. A summer favourite in large formats, Maïa is perfect for summer activations and long lunches.

The grapes were macerated at low temperatures and gently pressed with minimal skin contact, to extract the delicate, pale pink hue along with the aromas and flavours. Fermentation took place with selected yeasts in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks in order to retain the fresh characteristics and vibrancy of this cuvée.
