2024 M by Saint-Maur Rosé, Château Saint-Maur

Provence, France

Saint-Tropez in a Glass

Shimmering, elegant and effortlessly Provençal, the 2024 M by Saint-Maur is all about charm with polish. Strawberries and raspberries lead the way, lifted by citrus zest and a gentle herbaceous note that keeps everything fresh and finely tuned. The palate is crisp yet indulgent, with lively acidity, a supple mouthfeel and a graceful, lemon-zest finish that makes the wine feel both refreshing and quietly sophisticated. Pale, poised and beautifully drinkable, this is rosé made for long lunches and warm evenings.

For when: the sun is out, lunch runs late, and nobody wants to be the first to leave.
Pairs with: salmon tartare, spaghetti alle vongole, lemon chicken, fresh goat’s cheese, or a strawberry tart if you are feeling indulgent.
If this wine were a place: a shaded terrace near Saint-Tropez, with pale stone, sea air and the hum of summer in the background.

Château Saint-Maur sits in Cogolin, in the southern part of the Côtes de Provence, between the Massif des Maures and the Mediterranean, around 10 km from Saint-Tropez. The estate is one of the region’s Cru Classé properties, with vineyards shaped by that warm coastal setting and a terroir that helps bring both ripeness and freshness to the wines. In M by Saint-Maur, that Provençal identity comes through beautifully, all pale fruit, finesse and easy Mediterranean elegance.

Château Saint-Maur Cru Classé was built at the end of the 19th century and is nestled in the Maures massif near the charming village of Cogolin. It enjoys a prime position in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The estate spans 100 hectares and encompasses three distinct vineyard parcels: Saint-Maur, Clos Saint-Vincent, and Clos de Capelune. This piecemeal approach allows for the cultivation of various grape varieties, each adapted to the unique terroir, resulting in wines with invaluable character.
Château Saint-Maur is one of the privileged eighteen estates in Provence to bear the prestigious Cru Classé designation since 1955, even before the creation of the Côtes de Provence appellation. This esteemed status is granted based on rigorous evaluation criteria, including the estate’s history, winemaking practices, vineyard quality, and reputation.
The estate’s high-tech winery ensures that the grapes release their shimmering aromas, delighting even the most discerning palates. Château Saint-Maur produces a magnificent interpretation of its terroir through its goldsmith’s collection of wines. The Côtes de Provence Cru Classé collection is characterised by finesse, elegance, and the full expression of the terroir.

Château Saint-Maur has one sole objective: to extract the flavourful essence of grape juice with both intensity and finesse. Their winemaking philosophy revolves around mastering colour, which is particularly crucial for their rosé wines, constituting 90% of their production. Whether it’s upscale rosé or pure wines crafted for pleasure or high gastronomy, they approach each bottle with precision and care.
