2022 Wallis Pinot Noir, Ten Minutes By Tractor
Mornington Peninsula, Australia
Pure, poised and quietly confident, the 2022 Wallis Pinot Noir is a beautiful expression of Mornington Peninsula finesse. Bright ruby in the glass, it opens with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and cranberry, layered with rose petal, subtle spice and a gentle savoury note. The palate is silky and finely drawn, red fruit gliding across supple tannins with a cool, mineral freshness that keeps everything precise and flowing. Elegant rather than showy, it finishes long and clean, leaving a lingering impression of balance and clarity.
For when: the tableās full and the conversationās flowing.
Pairs with: roast duck, grilled salmon, or mushroom and thyme dishes.
If this wine were a mood: relaxed confidence, nothing forced, everything in place.
From the cooler slopes of the Mornington Peninsula, Ten Minutes By Tractor has become synonymous with site-driven, finely detailed Pinot Noir. The Wallis vineyard is one of the estateās standout sites, prized for its ability to deliver purity of fruit and natural tension. The 2022 vintage captures that character perfectly, a Pinot Noir of restraint, texture and quiet depth, made to be enjoyed now but with the structure to reward a little patience too.

āFine, firm and delicious. Sweet spice notes step politely through a field of strawberry and red cherry fruit flavour. A dry, leaf-like note adds extra spread to both the tannin and the finish in general. This is pretty much pitch perfect all over. A meaty/smoky character lurks around the edges, in a positive way, and it feels polished throughout. Itās frisky but thereās enough substance and general complexity to well and truly satisfy.ā
