2024 'Origin' Sauvignon Blanc, Saint Clair
Marlborough, New Zealand
This is classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with all the brightness, lift and aromatic Blanc with all the brightness, lift and aromatic punch the region does so well. Passionfruit, grapefruit and crisp green apple lead the nose, followed by blackcurrant leaf, gooseberry, fresh snow pea and a cool salty edge. It feels vivid and expressive, but with Saint Clair’s usual polish and precision.
On the palate, it is rich, fresh and mouth-watering, with tropical fruit, white stone fruit and citrus carried by crisp acidity and a clean mineral finish. The Lower Wairau fruit gives generous flavour and aromatic intensity, while the dry, unoaked style keeps everything sharp, bright and refreshing. A brilliant bottle for Sauvignon lovers who want Marlborough energy, proper fruit concentration and seafood-ready freshness.
