Provence, France
Located in the southernmost part of Côtes de Provence, Château Saint-Maur benefits from a unique terroir. Nestled between the foothills of the stunning Massif des Maures mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea, this picturesque estate is just 10 km from Saint-Tropez. The oak tree-covered hillsides of Cogolin provide the ideal setting for cultivating grapes that yield iconic, pale pink, Provencal rosé wines.
This shimmering salmon pink rosé offers a delightful expression of Provence’s terroir. In the glass, it opens with profound scents of strawberries and raspberries, hints of citrus, and herbaceous undertones. On the palate, it is crisp, indulgent, and sophisticated. This wine boasts a lively acidity, a delightful mouthfeel, and a graceful finish with a subtle lemon zest.
It is a fabulous food wine and pairs marvellously with meats (veal roulade with herbs and parmesan, lemon chicken), vegetables, (stuffed, Thai stir-fry), fish (salmon tartare, spaghetti alle vongole) or cheese and dessert (fresh goat’s cheese and redcurrant jelly, strawberry tart).

Château Saint-Maur Cru Classé was built at the end of the 19th century and is nestled in the Maures massif near the charming village of Cogolin. It enjoys a prime position in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The estate spans 100 hectares and encompasses three distinct vineyard parcels: Saint-Maur, Clos Saint-Vincent, and Clos de Capelune. This piecemeal approach allows for the cultivation of various grape varieties, each adapted to the unique terroir, resulting in wines with invaluable character.
Château Saint-Maur is one of the privileged eighteen estates in Provence to bear the prestigious Cru Classé designation since 1955—even before the creation of the Côtes de Provence appellation. This esteemed status is granted based on rigorous evaluation criteria, including the estate’s history, winemaking practices, vineyard quality, and reputation.
The estate’s high-tech winery ensures that the grapes release their shimmering aromas, delighting even the most discerning palates. Château Saint-Maur produces a magnificent interpretation of its terroir through its goldsmith’s collection of wines. The Côtes de Provence Cru Classé collection is characterized by finesse, elegance, and the full expression of the terroir.
Château Saint-Maur has one sole objective: to extract the flavourful essence of grape juice with both intensity and finesse. Their winemaking philosophy revolves around mastering colour, which is particularly crucial for their rosé wines—constituting 90% of their production. Whether it’s upscale rosé or pure wines crafted for pleasure or high gastronomy, they approach each bottle with precision and care.
