2014 César Blanc, Domaine Roche-Audran

A mature Southern Rhône white with warmth, texture and a lovely flicker of intrigue. Ripe peach, apricot and preserved lemon come first, followed by honeysuckle, fennel, toasted almond and a savoury, gently spicy edge. The Grenache Blanc brings body and sunlit breadth, while Viognier adds perfume and lift, giving a wine that feels generous, mellow and quietly luxurious.

Domaine Roche-Audran was created in 1998 by Vincent Rochette, whose family had worked the land around Buisson for five generations. Set among vines, olive trees, lavender and woodland, the estate has become known for expressive biodynamic wines that capture the wild, aromatic beauty of the Southern Rhône with sincerity and charm.
