Inama, Veneto

Inama is a family estate built around the belief that great wine begins with an exceptional place. Its story started in 1964, when Giuseppe Inama purchased his first vineyards on Monte Foscarino in the historic heart of Soave Classico. His son Stefano began bottling wine in 1991, helping to reveal the quality and ageing potential of Garganega grown on the region’s volcanic hillsides. Today, Stefano works alongside his sons Matteo, Alessio and Luca, combining three generations of experience with an energetic, forward-looking approach.

The family’s white wines come from old vines planted across Monte Foscarino and other distinguished Soave Classico sites. Volcanic soils, high-altitude vineyards and careful handling produce wines with floral fragrance, ripe orchard fruit, almond-like savouriness and a distinctive mineral core. From the approachable Vin Soave to the single-vineyard Foscarino and Carbonare, these are expressive, textured wines that have played an important part in restoring Soave’s reputation for serious quality.

Inama’s second home is the Colli Berici, where iron-rich limestone soils provide a remarkable setting for Carmenère, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Here the family produces deeply coloured, elegant reds that balance dark fruit and spice with freshness and structure. Across both estates, regenerative viticulture, hand harvesting and detailed parcel selection allow the character of the land to lead, creating wines with authenticity, balance and a genuine sense of place.
