2023 Fleurie, Olivier Ravier
Fleurie, Beaujolais, France
Bright ruby in the glass, this Fleurie is as graceful as it is joyful. The nose blooms with violets, wild strawberries, and fresh cherries, touched by a hint of spice and rose petal. On the palate, it’s supple and silky, with red berry fruit gliding over fine tannins and a whisper of minerality. The finish is delicate, perfumed and delightfully pure, it's a wine that captures the effortless charm and finesse that make Fleurie the most romantic of Beaujolais crus.
For when: you want to slow down, pour generously, and let the evening linger.
Pairs with: roast chicken, charcuterie, or creamy mushroom pasta.
If this wine were a mood, it’d be soft jazz at golden hour.
Olivier Ravier, a highly regarded Beaujolais winemaker, is celebrated for his meticulous vineyard work and elegant, terroir-driven style. His old Gamay vines in Fleurie thrive on granitic, pink sand soils that lend the wines their hallmark floral perfume and silky texture. Harvested by hand and fermented traditionally with semi-carbonic maceration, the wines are then aged gently in stainless steel to preserve freshness and fruit purity. The 2023 vintage shows Fleurie at its most refined - fragrant, balanced, and irresistibly drinkable.

The grapes were vinified in the traditional way, with a semi-carbonic maceration lasting
for 10 to 12 days. Fermentation was temperature controlled throughout and was
followed by malolactic conversion, resulting in a softer style of wine.
