Fino Del Puerto Solera Familiar, Bodegas Lustau Wine Republic

Fino Del Puerto Solera Familiar, Bodegas Lustau, 375ml

El Puerto de Santa María, Andalucía, Spain

Pale, delicate and quietly captivating, the Fino del Puerto from Bodegas Lustau is a textbook expression of coastal finesse. Brilliant straw in colour, it opens with aromas of sea breeze, toasted almond and the faint tang of baker’s yeast, the pure scent of flor thriving in the humid Atlantic air of El Puerto de Santa María. On the palate, it’s bone dry, feather-light and impeccably clean, offering flavours of salted lemon, green olive and fresh sourdough. The finish is crisp and saline, leaving a subtle echo of the ocean. This is Fino at its most refined, elegant, pure, and effortlessly refreshing.

For when: the sun’s high, the sea’s near, and the tapas are calling.
Pairs with: Ibérico ham, salted almonds, sushi or grilled prawns.
If this wine were a place, it’d be a whitewashed terrace overlooking the Andalusian coast.

Made from 100% Palomino, this Fino is aged under a living veil of flor yeast in the cool, maritime cellars of El Puerto de Santa María, one of the three historic towns of the Sherry Triangle. Here, constant humidity and ocean breezes create ideal conditions for the flor to thrive, protecting the wine from oxidation and imparting its distinctive saline and nutty character.

Part of Lustau’s Solera Familiar range, the Fino del Puerto reflects the house’s hallmark precision and depth, a Sherry that’s both authentic and beautifully balanced.

Serve chilled at 7–9°C and enjoy it as the ultimate Andalusian aperitif: bright, briny, and endlessly evocative of the sea.

Regarded as one of the greatest and most respected names in Sherry, Bodegas Lustau stands at the pinnacle of Andalusian winemaking, a benchmark for quality, authenticity, and craftsmanship. Founded in 1896 by José Ruiz-Berdejo, the estate began as a small almacenista (stockholder) ageing and blending wines for larger houses. Over the decades, Lustau evolved from humble beginnings into a global ambassador for fine Sherry, earning acclaim for its meticulous sourcing, blending, and innovation.

Based in Jerez de la Frontera, with additional bodegas in El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Lustau uniquely represents all three of the Sherry Triangle’s towns, allowing the house to showcase the full spectrum of terroir and style: from the saline freshness of Manzanilla to the nutty depth of Amontillado and the velvety opulence of Pedro Ximénez.

Lustau’s defining strength lies in its unparalleled range. The Solera Reserva series highlights traditional, meticulously aged styles; the Almacenista collection honours small independent producers and their individual soleras; and the VORS (Very Old Rare Sherry) range offers century-old treasures of staggering complexity and rarity. Every wine undergoes patient maturation under flor or oxidative ageing in centuries-old casks, capturing the delicate balance between time, air, and wood.

Under the guidance of Emilio Lustau’s successors and now as part of the Caballero Group, the bodega continues to set the gold standard for Sherry, combining heritage and innovation with unwavering precision. Today, Lustau is celebrated not only for its technical mastery but for preserving the living soul of Jerez: wines of profound depth, layered aromatics, and timeless Andalusian grace.
