Champagne Carbon
Champagne Carbon is a modern luxury house with deep family roots in the region. It was created by Alexandre Méa, heir to the fifth generation of the Devavry family, whose winegrowing history in Champillon dates back to 1920. The project was born from an unusual idea: to pair serious, traditionally made Champagne with a bold, contemporary presentation, and after more than four years of research and development, Carbon launched using the family’s oldest reserve wines and Alexandre’s distinctive carbon-fibre bottle concept.
What makes Carbon stand out is that the visual drama is not just for show. Behind the signature bottle lies a house focused on Grand Cru and Premier Cru Chardonnay, alongside Pinot Noir and Meunier sourced from key Champagne terroirs, with a strong emphasis on precision, ageing and the expression of place. The house describes its work as balancing innovation with tradition, using meticulous cellar practices and extended maturation to build wines with both textural richness and saline finesse.
In style, Carbon sits at the intersection of craftsmanship, performance and luxury. The carbon-fibre clad bottle has become its calling card, helped by high-profile partnerships and a strong association with design-led prestige, but the underlying philosophy remains rooted in Champagne know-how passed down through generations. The result is a producer that feels unapologetically modern in image, yet firmly anchored in the region’s classical values of terroir, patience and precision.
