2023 Chablis, Domaine de la Genillotte

Domaine de la Genillotte produce excellent value Chablis from their 16 hectares of vineyards in the village of Lignorelles in the north-west of the region.

Winemaker David Depuydt makes Chablis as it should be; mineral, fresh and light but with interest and texture. Think flavours of lemon, pea shoot and green apple, it’s got racy acidity but not a hint of bitterness. Aromatic and vibrant, with ample stone fruit, rounded and supple with that essential clean, mineral freshness. Pairs well with pork, rich fish (salmon, tuna etc), shellfish, mild and soft cheese.
