Mendel wines classically combine Roberto de la Mota’s prestigious winemaking skills and tremendously old vineyards to make Mendoza’s most elegant wines. Proprietor and long-time wine lover, Anabelle Sielecki, partnered with Roberto to transform her family’s historic 1928 vineyard into the respected estate it is today.
In the glass this delicious Semillon displays elegant scents of acacia and white fruit like pear, pineapple and finally honey. The aromas contribute freshness and sweetness and make it an elegant and complex white wine. The palate displays a fine balance between freshness and aromatic complexity. Pleasant attack, unctuous on mid-palate. An elegant wine, with a velvety and lingering finish.

“Grapes from a 70-year-old vineyard in Paraje Altamira, planted at 1,100m, and precise winemaking – 85% of the must is fermented in stainless steel and the rest is kept in new French oak for six months – give a wine with depth of flavour and aromatic complexity. Fragrant nose of lime, lemon, peach and green apple. The palate is crisp, fresh and focused: ripe lemon and grapefruit citrus, with a touch of flintiness.”
