A special gift box of Mendel’s top Malbec and one of Argentina’s greatest wines.
Made with grapes from a vineyard that was planted in 1928 in Perdriel and which gives its name to the wine.
Mendel DOC Luján de Cuyo is an intense red Malbec with violet hues. On the nose, it presents intense aromas of red and black fruits such as black cherries and plums and floral scents of violets; After stirring in the glass, spicy and soft aromas of licorice emerge. On the palate, it exhibits a great volume and structure, ripe and well-present tannins, being at the same time silky and very friendly. Flavours of black cherry and plum reappear, providing it with an exceptional length on the palate. Production limited to 3,600 bottles.

96 points – Vinous. “The 2020 Malbec Mendel, from Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo, is made with grapes from vines first registered back in 1928. Aged for 14 months in French barrels. A rich purple hue. The nose presents violets, roses and layers of volatility that enhance the woody aromas as well as the olive and dried flower notes. Creamy and concentrated but relaxed, it has a mild juiciness and good body and energy. The tannins are muscular and polished like all good Lujan Malbecs. Expansive, long-lasting and unctuous. Classical in style and precisely executed.”
