2014 Vintage Tunina IGT, Vinnaioli Jermann - Magnum
Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy
Golden Icon
Vintage Tunina is one of Italy’s great white wines, and in magnum the 2014 has taken on a beautifully composed, golden maturity. This is a field blend with real pedigree: Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and Picolit, now showing layers of peach, apricot, yellow apple, honey, wild flowers, citrus peel, almond and warm stone.
On the palate, it is dry, full and wonderfully persistent, with the richness of mature fruit balanced by mineral freshness and a fine savoury edge. The magnum format brings extra poise, letting the wine feel broad and mellow without losing its line. Long, elegant and quietly luxurious, this is mature Friulian white wine with real presence.

Truffle risotto, roast chicken, turbot, lobster, scallops, veal in cream sauce, mushroom pasta, aged Montasio or Comté.
Jermann is one of the defining names of Friuli, transformed by Silvio Jermann into a benchmark for modern Italian white wine. First released in the 1970s, Vintage Tunina became a watershed bottle, proving that Friuli could make complex, ageworthy whites with the stature of great European classics. Grown on the Ronco del Fortino vineyard and built from both local and international varieties, it remains the estate’s flagship: distinctive, ambitious and rightly iconic.
