Champagne Supernova Brut, Champagne La Belle Etoile
Champagne, France
Pale gold with an elegant stream of fine bubbles, this Champagne opens with crisp green apple and ripe melon, then drifts into the warm, inviting scent of freshly baked brioche and toasted almonds. On the palate, the fruit stays bright and lifted with citrus flesh, honeydew, a whisper of stone and is framed by a gently creamy texture and subtle chalky minerality. The finish lingers with a clean freshness and a soft almond-kiss warmth that invites another sip.
For when: You want a glass that says “celebrate” but also “let’s stay for a moment longer.”
Pairs with: Smoked salmon blinis, delicate canapés, or a lemon-tart dessert that gives a nod to sweetness without going full pastry.
If this wine were: An Art Deco party at midnight, it would be all glamour, sparkle, and just the right amount of edge.
La Belle Étoile sources grapes from across the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne. The Supernova is vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity. And interestingly, they use a solera style ageing technique that sees reserve wines from a private solera added to the blend, which deepens complexity and consistency.
