Crémant de Loire, Les Vaublins
Loire Valley, France
“The Loire’s Little Spark of Joy”
Pale gold and delicately effervescent, this Crémant de Loire shows exactly why Chenin Blanc is the quiet hero of French fizz. A blend of 80% Chenin and 20% Chardonnay, it opens with aromas of crisp red apple, white peach and citrus zest, lifted by honeysuckle and white flowers drifting in from the riverbanks of the Cher. The palate is dry, elegant and beautifully fine-textured, its persistent, lace-like bubbles carrying flavours of orchard fruit, chalky minerality and a whisper of ripe strawberry from extended ageing in ancient tuffeau caves. Fresh yet subtly creamy, it finishes with poise, purity and that unmistakable Loire sparkle.
For when you want bubbles with charm, clarity and zero pretence.
Pairs with seafood, sushi, light salads or just the sound of the cork popping.
If this wine were a moment, it’d be sunshine on white stone steps, bright, easy and effortlessly chic.
Crafted by Nicolas and Alexandrine Deniau with winemaker Cédric Allion, Les Vaublins comes from clay-limestone soils along the river Cher, where Chenin thrives on freshness, tension and natural vibrancy. The wine rests for up to five years in the Loire’s famed underground tuffeau caves, gaining depth and finesse without losing its joyful lift. It’s a perfect expression of the region’s sparkling heritage: artisanal, graceful, and unmistakably Loire.
