Collezione 96 Extra Dry Prosecco DOC, Masottina
Veneto, Italy
Bright, buoyant and beautifully expressive, the Collezione 96 Extra Dry sparkles with easy charm and quiet finesse. Pale straw in colour with a stream of fine, persistent bubbles, it greets the senses with aromas of fresh lemon zest, green apple and ripe pear, all lightly framed by a whisper of white blossom. On the palate, it glides between citrus brightness and orchard-fruit sweetness, with a creamy yet lively texture, a clean and harmonious finish, and just a touch of honeyed softness. A Prosecco that dances effortlessly between refreshment and indulgence.
For when: you need something that feels like a Friday, even if it’s Tuesday.
Pairs with: prosciutto and melon, creamy burrata, or seafood canapés.
If this wine were a mood, it’d be the first laugh of the evening, light, sparkling, and impossible not to share.
The Dal Bianco family has been crafting fine sparkling wines in Conegliano since 1946, nurturing nearly 300 hectares of vineyards across the UNESCO-listed hills of Valdobbiadene. Under the SQNPI sustainable programme, each vine is tended with the same precision and care that built Masottina’s reputation as one of Veneto’s finest estates. The Collezione 96 range honours a landmark 96-point Decanter award in 2017, a benchmark that captures everything Masottina stands for: artistry, authenticity, and a little everyday sparkle.

The Dal Bianco family has passionately devoted its energy to producing wine since 1946. It all began when grandfather Epifanio acquired the Ai Palazzi estate at Gorgo al Monticano, comprising five hectares of vineyard. When the manor house overlooking the vineyard was restored, an ancient inscription came to light: ‘Casa Masottina’, lending its name to this historic brand which has been owned by the Dal Bianco family for three generations. Today, Masottina wines are the product of almost 300 hectares which extend across the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Hills and the Veneto region. The vines are carefully cultivated by the family in keeping with the sustainable rules of SQNPI. It is however, through the Cru wines from R.D.O. Ponente and R.D.O. Levante in the hills of Ogliano, that the finest expression of Masottina’s quality truly shines. These stunning wines have gained deserved recognition and for the first time, Wine Spectator recently placed the Rive di Ogliano in the magazine’s Top 100 most important wines in the world.
The selected hand picked grapes are fermented off the skins at a controlled temperature of 15 - 18°C. The prise de mousse and lees maturation normally take place for approximately 60 days in pressure tanks, on selected yeasts, at a temperature of 13 - 14°C. The wine is aged for at least one month before distribution.
