ContradaGranda Brut Prosecco Superiore DOCG, Masottina
Conegliano Valdobbiadene, Veneto, Italy
Bright, graceful and perfectly poised, the ContradaGranda Brut Prosecco Superiore is an elegant expression of the Veneto hills at their most refined. Pale yellow with soft green reflections and a fine, persistent mousse, it opens with fresh notes of Golden Delicious apple, lime zest and pink grapefruit, unfolding into riper tones of pear, melon and white blossom. The palate is creamy and beautifully structured, crisp orchard fruit and citrus glide effortlessly over a silken texture, balanced by a subtle mineral thread and a clean, lingering finish that hums with freshness and finesse.
For when: you’re celebrating life’s quieter moments, the ones that deserve sparkle, not ceremony.
Pairs with: prosciutto and melon, delicate sushi, or lemon-drizzled seafood.
If this wine were a mood, it’d be that first sunbeam on a clear Italian morning, bright, elegant, and full of promise.
Masottina’s ContradaGranda Brut brings together the best of Conegliano Valdobbiadene’s diverse terroirs, Ogliano’s fruit intensity, Solighetto’s floral grace, and Rolle’s natural acidity. Crafted sustainably by the Dal Bianco family, whose winemaking story began in 1946, it embodies their enduring pursuit of balance, precision, and quiet sophistication, the essence of what makes great Prosecco truly timeless

The Dal Bianco family has passionately devoted its energy to producing wine since 1946. It all began when grandfather Epifanio acquired the Ai Palazzi estate at Gorgo al Monticano, comprising five hectares of vineyard. When the manor house overlooking the vineyard was restored, an ancient inscription came to light: ‘Casa Masottina’, lending its name to this historic brand which has been owned by the Dal Bianco family for three generations. Today, Masottina wines are the product of almost 300 hectares which extend across the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Hills and the Veneto region. The vines are carefully cultivated by the family in keeping with the sustainable rules of SQNPI. It is however, through the Cru wines from R.D.O. Ponente and R.D.O. Levante in the hills of Ogliano, that the finest expression of Masottina’s quality truly shines. These stunning wines have gained deserved recognition and for the first time, Wine Spectator recently placed the Rive di Ogliano in the magazine’s Top 100 most important wines in the world.
The selected hand picked grapes are fermented off the skins at a controlled temperature of 15 - 18°C. The prise de mousse and lees maturation normally take place for approximately 60 days in pressure tanks, on selected yeasts, at a temperature of 13 - 14°C. The wine is aged for at least one month before distribution.
