12 Ans de Cavea Minima Rosé, Champagne Gosset
Champagne, France
“The Patience of Elegance”
A luminous rose-gold with delicate bubbles, this rosé Champagne reveals aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant, and dried cranberry layered with rose petals, citrus peel, and hints of pastry. The palate is complex yet refined, red fruit brightness meeting subtle spice and a chalky mineral thread. Extended ageing gives depth, finesse, and a lingering, graceful finish.
For when: only the most special occasions will do.
Pairs with: lobster, duck breast, or fine pâtisserie.
If this wine were time, it’d be the golden hour that feels endless.
Gosset’s 12 Ans de Cave a Minima is a rarity: a rosé aged for over a decade on lees before release. It exemplifies the house’s dedication to purity, patience, and precision – Champagne that is both profound and poetic.

95 points – Wine Enthusiast: “Long aging in Gosset’s cellars has given this rosé Champagne great richness. It is still textured and nervy with a line of minerality alongside the freshness. It is now a perfectly mature wine that is ready to drink.”

Maison Gosset, the oldest Wine House in Champagne, boasts a rich history dating back to 1584. The Gosset family’s involvement in viticulture, however, began even earlier in the 15th century, with Jean Gosset cultivating vineyards in Aÿ. By 1584, Pierre Gosset established a still wine trading house, predating sparkling Champagne production by over a century. Over the years, Gosset wines graced royal tables, even appearing at the coronation of Charles X in 1825. For 16 generations, the family has upheld their winemaking traditions. Today, Gosset represents seven centuries of Champagne expertise, embodying heritage through its prestigious status and unique accolades. Gosset’s commitment to heritage extends beyond its own legacy; the annual Trophée Gosset recognises individuals and institutions dedicated to preserving heritage, from culinary arts to broader cultural contributions, while ‘Gosset Matchmakers’ is a food and wine pairing competition for rising chefs and sommeliers in the UK. Sourcing primarily from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, Head Winemaker Odilon de Varine crafts Champagnes with remarkable depth, elegance, freshness and longevity that define its signature style.
Vinification took place in stainless steel vats with traditional ageing. 8% was vinified as a red wine. Malolactic conversion was carefully avoided to showcase the House’s fresh signature style and preserve the naturally fruity aromas. Bottling took place late spring following the harvest, prior to aging on the lees in the cellar. Dosage was precisely adjusted to balance freshness and vinosity without compromising the wine's character and purity. This Champagne was aged in the cellar for a minimum of 12 years. Postdisgorgement, this cuvée returned to the cellars for at least six months to allow the smooth integration of the 4.5g/l dosage.
