The Vintage: The 2022 vintage in Bolgheri delivered strength and structure, yet special vineyard sites and thoughtful winemaking brought forward freshness and elegance rather than heat and heaviness. Hand-picked from hillside vineyards rooted in gravel and galestro soils, the fruit was macerated for 13–18 days and aged for 23 months in French oak. Despite the warm year, Tenuta San Guido preserved the breezy acidity and vibrant minerality, resulting in a Sassicaia that marries the vineyard’s classic power with a new level of refinement.
