Rain, frost, hail and intense mildew pressure greatly reduced the crop, requiring relentless vineyard work and rigorous selection at harvest. Warmer, drier conditions during August and September finally allowed the remaining grapes to ripen slowly and evenly.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eQuantities are extremely limited, but the best white wines are beautifully balanced and refined. Lower alcohol, bright acidity and pure citrus fruit give the vintage a cool, classical character.
